This work has been created as an attempt to understand the phenomena of the contemporary urban environment.
It constitutes a comment on the “lived” experience that one has while wandering around in the city.
The way we inhabit a certain space is defined by events and the bipolar scheme between the habit and the unfamiliar, the mainstream and the alternative.
“Ugly, unbearable city made of concrete”: words that are often attributed to Athens and imply a superficial reading of the city. There is a lack of intention to recognize the diversity, the ingenuity of its residents –sometimes, for the sake of specific functional, emotional and expressional needs.
